The much awaited and much hyped affordable version of Apple iPhone, which comes as an upgrade to iPhone 5, is around its corners to make its public appearing. Apple just announced that it will be launching a new and affordable variant of its iPhone, that is going to debut today.
The spec-sheet for iPhone 5C looks pretty much similar to the iPhone 5, which has same resolution(640 x 1136 pixels), Apple A6 chipset (same as iPhone 5) running iOS 7, 8MP camera, 100Mbps LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0.
As far as the design of the iPhone 5C is concerned, it has noticeable difference with iPhone 5. The new iPhone 5C is thicker as compared to the original iPhone 5 with 9mm vs. 7.6mm, and is also a bit heavier than iPhone 5 - 132g vs. 112g.
The iPhone 5C is made up of hard-coated polycarbonate instead of aluminum, and will be launched in five different color options: White, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink.
The device is expected to arrive in 9 countries by the 13th September. These countries includes:the US, China, the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and Singapore. However Apple has also announced that by December, the availability will be extended to more than 100 countries.
